Allston Riots Headquarters is crawling with activity on the eve of the 2006 Last Minute Loser Fantasy Football League Draft. The Riots had a tough year with Management retreating to the confines of Salem to rethink, retool, and refocus after last years dreadful 3 win season. While a good amount of owners agreed that the Riots were a victim of bad luck, the rumors are true and heads did roll in Riots Front Office. Management has thoughts of going out on a limb on some of the early rounds, but you can bet the farm the team won’t be drafting Daunte Culpepper (till at least the 10th round anyway). Good luck teams, just not too much good luck, we’d still like to have a franchise next year.

My camera’s focus no longer works.
We went to Montreal this weekend to hang out. We got there a bit late on Friday but it didn’t stop me from dragging these guys all over the city looking for this one bar. Turns out, we didn’t find it till the next day. We did find a cool bar with a giant spider on top. If you go to Montreal its not hard to find. Somewhere along the line the autofocus on my elph bit the dust. I apparently was smart enough to purchase the service plan from Best Buy so everything should be totally cool.
I almost forgot to mention the great time I had at Loc’s party last weekend. This will most likely be the last one at the Hampton Beach house and I would have to say it was one of the best. Great mix of people and perfect weather. While uploading these I thought I’d link a few of the past Loc Parties. There’s a year or two missing here, and I apologize. I don’t know what the hell I was doing those years, perhaps sleeping in my car. I can tell you two things about them. They happened and I was there.

Halie and the Loc
Joe and Jess got married last October in Las Vegas. Months later I got a card about a Wedding Party in Narragansett, RI that was taking place on July 8th. I remember thinking to myself how much of a good time that sounded like and I have to say it was a blast. Not only did they have an inflatable castle but they also had a photo booth. (Most of those pictures will surface here.) It was good to hang out with a lot of people I haven’t just hung out with in a long while. Particularly Nick’s Andrew Dice Clay impression which I think stole the night. Congrats Joe and Jess! and thanks again!

Well we didn’t go to Thunderhole in
Acadia National Park but we had one hell of a time this weekend up in Maine. Caitlin, EJ and I drove up after work on Friday and traffic wasn’t even that bad. Everyone said it was going to be, but I guess they should learn not to rain on our parade. We went to the top of Cadillac Mountain (in a car) and hung out for a bit. Apparently they have these piles of rocks called cairns and you are not supposed to fuck around with them. Of course I didn’t see the sign so sure enough there I was screwing around with them. Oh well. We were trying to take a shot of all of us by balancing my camera on my shoe, but it kept falling over until some guy and his wife appeared from literally out of no where and offered to take our picture.
Afterwards we hit up Thurston’s Lobster Pound. Al was pretty diligent about finding this place and I cannot say how impressed I was. The place was out of the way and they unload the lobster boats right there so you know its good. Al, EJ and I got jumbo lobsters (4 pounds) and devoured. It was a great trip and the company was even better. I’m glad we could all pull it off jones.
Also, EJ pointed out this link (http://www.militaryphotos.net/forums/showthread.php?t=82755) to me. It’s of some photos a Russian photographer took of North Korea. North Korea has been a communist state since 1948. These photos are pretty incredible, but make sure you read the captions. They have no Internet whatsoever in North Korea and no one has a cell phone. Frankly, that place looks like a borefest to me. I’m sticking to Massachusetts.
